Brother Knights;
Summer vacations are drawing to a close and school is about to begin. As the school year begins, so do the activities of our Council; we have a full schedule of events for the coming year. Those events are in support of our Church, our Pastor, Service to others and fundraising. Our Council gives nearly 100% of every dollar raised to charities; the money collected for dues is used to run the council. Our Council helps many worthy causes, Our Church, Seminarians, Scholarships, Brother in need, Handicapped Citizens, just to name a few.
In this newsletter are the planned Council events for 2008-2009; the dates they are planned to be held and the Chair positions required. First preference for a Chair is given to the Knight who previously held that chair. In some cases I have not been able to contact the Knight who last chaired an event so I added that Knights name and printed their name in red font. I am not assuming the Knight whose name appears in red will agree to be the current chair, but until I am able to get a confirmation from them; that position is on hold. In some cases I am not sure who the past event chair was, so if I missed your name, call me.
There are still open Chairs for the coming year. I would urge my fellow Knights to consider stepping up and agreeing to Chair an event. If every Knight could help at just one event for the coming year; our Council will have a very successful year. Being a Knight is simple math, you get more out of it than you put into it.

Submit Applications By April 30, 2009
The recipient must be a practicing Catholic of the Palm Beach Diocese and a child, grandchild or sibling of a member in good standing of the K of C. The recipient must be accepted as a full time student at a Catholic grammar school, high school or college and be enrolled in the school year immediately following award notification of the scholarship
