GRAND KNIGHT'S MESSAGE
Dear Worthy Brothers,
March 9th was to be the Pentathlon weekend; unfortunately it had to be canceled, as there was not enough interest for participation among the other Councils we invited.
March 14th is the last Fish Fry of this Lenten season. If you would like to come, there is other food available in addition to fried or baked fish, like pizza, clam chowder, clam cakes, and broccoli cheese soup.
Brothers, step up and take a place in the Council. Don’t forget that this upcoming General Meeting on March 24th is the first nomination night. If you’d like you can also contact one of our Trustees, brothers Bert, Carl, or Kevin, and arrange to have your name placed for nomination.
Saturday, March 15th is the Easter Egg Hunt this year. A big “thank you” to brother Todd Schutz for volunteering to chair this event.
March 20th will be a Blood Drive. The Bloodmobile will be in our Church parking lot from 7:00am to 1:00pm. Please donate a pint of life-saving blood.
The weekend of March 28th through 30th is the Handicapped Citizens drive, and we need all the help we can get. We will be at the Publix and Winn-Dixie stores in Loxahatchee, and the Publix and Winn-Dixie stores at Royal Palm Beach Blvd. and Okeechobee Blvd. Just recently we were notified that we could also cover the Wal-Mart store on Belvedere Rd. and State Rd. 7. Right now we are still in need of coverage for half of our shifts, so we really need help. Please contact Tony Perry at 798-6325 if you can help.
Our Communion Breakfast will be on April 6th following the 8:00 Mass, at the Golden Corral on Okeechobee Blvd.
Our annual Golf Tournament is April 20th at the Village Golf Course and we still need foursomes, and sponsor gift certificates. All proceeds from this event go to the new church building. Whatever every one of us can do to help make this event more successful will be appreciated.
Your Grand Knight,
Nick Alessandria

Dear Brothers,
The first weekend of March was the Men’s Retreat, held at the Our Lady of Florida Spiritual Center. I have heard about how great this event is for the past several years, but this year I was finally able to attend, and I have to say that the experience far surpassed any expectations I had. This year we had 22 men from our Council in attendance, which I understand is a record. Thanks and congratulations to Hugh Caulfield and the other “fishermen”. We can all profit from spiritual reflection, and I cannot think of a better way to spend a weekend during this time of Lent. If you’ve not attended in the past, I definitely urge you to consider attending next year.
At the time of this printing we have 2 Fish Fries to go! Thank you to everyone who has been helping us and Life-Teen with these events.
Just a quick reminder of up-coming activities: on March 15th, the Easter Egg Hunt, a good and fun event to bring the kids to. The weekend of March 28-30th is the Handicapped Citizens Drive — we are short-handed to fill all of the shifts… please, if you can free up some time during that weekend, call me at 798-6325. April 6th is our Communion Breakfast. Let’s spend some fellowship time together and enjoy breakfast with our families following the 8:00am Mass that day. And last but definitely not least — keep our Annual Golf Tournament (April 20th) close to the front of your minds. Ask yourself how you can contribute to make this a success for our Council and Parish.
Your brother,
Tony Perry

HANDICAPPED CITIZENS DRIVE
It is time once again for the annual Handicapped Citizens Drive, or the “Tootsie Roll Drive” as it is known to many. This is a high-visibility event for the Knights of Columbus on a national level, and all of the money raised goes to make a better life for the many handi-capped citizens in our community.
The Drive will be held on the weekend of March 28th through March 30th.
We need participation from everyone in order to cover all our times and locations. If we all sign up for a shift during that weekend, the load will be spread amongst all.
Contact Tony Perry (798-6325) if you can help.
