The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic fraternal organization of men dedicated to faith, family, charitable service, and supporting the Church and their communities. It began in 1882 when Blessed Michael McGivney gathered a small group of Catholic men in New Haven, Connecticut, with a simple but enduring purpose: to strengthen men in their faith, unite them in brotherhood, and protect families in times of hardship. From those humble beginnings grew a worldwide fraternity of more than 2.2 million men, guided by the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism. Knights are called not merely to profess their faith, but to live it through service to their families, parishes, communities, and those most in need. At its heart, the Knights of Columbus is a brotherhood of Catholic men striving together to become better husbands, fathers, neighbors, and disciples of Christ.
Council 12376 was founded in 1999 through the efforts of a small group of dedicated Knights and took the name of the parish it proudly serves, Our Lady Queen of the Apostles. Since then, our Council has sought to put faith into action by serving the parish, supporting charitable causes, strengthening Catholic families, and answering the needs of our community. We take the work seriously, but not ourselves too seriously; there is plenty of fellowship, laughter, and brotherhood along the way. Whether we are raising funds, lending a hand, gathering in prayer, or simply enjoying one another’s company, our aim is the same: to serve Christ faithfully and leave our parish and community a little better than we found them.

There are many ways to lend a hand. Choose an opportunity below and join us in serving our parish and community.
You do not need to be a chef to be useful. If you can cook, clean, serve, organize silverware, carry trays, or simply follow directions, we can put you to work. Breakfast with the Knights always needs a few extra hands, and there is a place for just about every skill set.
Help with our weekly Saturday donut pickup and bring the order back to the parish.
Pick up the weekly pastries from RBI.
Take a larger role in the Council by serving as a committee or event chairman. Help organize fellow Knights, develop new ideas, and lead projects in Faith, Family, Community, Life, fundraising, membership retention, and council events.

August 17–23, 2026
This Sunday, Jesus asks His disciples, “Who do you say that I am?” Peter confesses Him as the Christ, and Jesus responds by giving Peter the keys of the Kingdom and declaring, “upon this rock I will build my Church.”
Isaiah 22:19–23
Romans 11:33–36
Matthew 16:13–20
Isaiah describes the key of the House of David being entrusted to an office of authority. In the Gospel, Jesus gives Peter the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven.
Bishop Barron reflects directly on these Sunday readings, connecting Isaiah’s royal office with Peter’s authority and asking what Christian authority is actually for.
Scott Hahn walks through exactly the connection heard at Mass this Sunday: Isaiah 22, the Davidic kingdom, Peter, and Jesus giving him the keys in Matthew 16.
Fr. Chris Alar explains the biblical foundations for honoring Mary as Queen and why the Church celebrates the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Watch Fr. Chris AlarPeter’s answer leads directly into Jesus entrusting him with the keys of the Kingdom. What does this passage teach us both about who Jesus is and about the Church He intended to leave behind?
